How do I restore my purchase?
Tap "Restore Purchases" on the plan screen that appears before you subscribe, or in Settings > Your Plan once the app is unlocked. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase.
What syncs between my devices?
Your calculation history syncs between your iPhone and iPad when both are signed in to the same iCloud account and iCloud is turned on for Lab Tools Pro (Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud). Notebook entries, inventory, custom protocols, recipes, timers and other records stay on the device where you create them. Settings > Data > Export Data saves your calculation history, favorites, app settings, custom protocols, inventory, master mix templates, recipes, reagents and plate layouts to a file; use Import Data on the other device. Notebook entries are not in that file: export them as PDF or CSV from the Notebook (these files can't be imported back). Timers are not exported, but your timers and inventory list also appear on a paired Apple Watch.
Can I use Lab Tools Pro offline?
Yes. Calculators, protocols, references bundled in the app, notebook entries, inventory, and timers work offline. PubMed search, iCloud sync of calculation history, and purchases require an internet connection.
Does Lab Tools Pro work with a keyboard, Siri and Shortcuts?
Yes. On iPad with a keyboard, the menu bar (iPadOS 26) and keyboard shortcuts cover the main actions; press ⌘/ for the full list. To keep a calculator open in a window of its own, touch and hold it in Calculators and choose Open in New Window. With Siri, say "Open Dilution Calculator in Lab Tools Pro", or "Open a calculator in Lab Tools Pro" and say which one; during a protocol run, "Next step in Lab Tools Pro" checks off the current step and moves to the next. The Shortcuts app has an Open Calculator action and more. With Handoff turned on, the calculator you have open is offered to your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account.
How accurate are the calculations?
Lab Tools Pro uses high-precision decimal arithmetic where appropriate and implements standard scientific formulas. Always verify critical calculations independently before using them in research work.
How does the free trial work?
The Yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers, with full access to the whole app. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the plan renews at its price. The Monthly plan has no free trial. Before choosing a plan you can also try the Molarity calculator free. Final pricing, trial eligibility, and renewal details are shown by Apple before purchase.
What are the subscription options?
Monthly and Yearly subscriptions, which renew automatically until you cancel, and Lifetime, a one-time purchase. Every option unlocks the whole app. The App Store shows current localized pricing and terms before you confirm a purchase.
